14th edition of FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland

Girl Little Boy
The 14th edition of the major fashion event in Poland took place for the 14th time in the city of Łodz. Sadly, it has been announced that this was the last edition in Łodz. While uncertain what the future will bring for this event there is no need to worry that talented designers will keep emerging from Poland. In fact the best collections where from the new generation designers.

So what where the highlights?

WYZA

GIRL LITTLE BOY
Girl Little Bot debut resulted in on of the highlights during the 14th edition of FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland in Łodz The collection is a very promising proposal of designer Rafael Anatol, deconstructing and reinterpreting styles successfully for both boys and girls. GIRL LIITLE BOY plays with boy – girl boundaries, mixing everything from punk to club culture, with aim to create a harmony.

MATEUSZ PUKŁO
Mateusz Pukło presented an all black mens collection ‘Dark Lines’ during the 14th edition of FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland in Łodz. Proving that simplicity does not bore, the collection is an elegant proposal for the sophisticated men containing beautiful coats, jackets and black basics that will hibernate fashion trends. Menswear classis are tastefully refreshed. The collection is presented in a foggy and casual atmosphere completing the coherent story line in distinguished manner.

SZCZESNY
Szczesny kicked off the 14th edition of FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland in Łodz with a collection inspired by horse riding. Collection 3 / 2016 NIGHT HORSE is a playful but uncomplicated approach to fashionable wardrobe essentials using materials such as wool, leather, fake fur, knitwear, cotton and polyesters. Focusing on quality in both materials and finishings the collection contains hand knitted pieces, classic black basics and fake fur pieces. Designer Damian Szczesny created the brand in 2014 after graduating at MSKPiU academy in Warsaw. He puts his focus on material guality, hand-made details and manual production of the clothing.

JAROSŁAW EWERT
Inspired by the nightclub culture of the 70s and 80s, the collections showcase left a refreshing breeze on the runway. The breeze shook through the hair of the models leaving a wave along with the large golden hanging circle earings. The similar circle details are also used in the belts and clothing. Neon colors popped up contrasting through pastels, black, dark blue and prints. In particular the looks with woven materials with geometrical patterns are striking. Jarosław Ewert’s collection Sparkle was the highlight of Friday evening Designer Avenue Schedule.

ZWYRD
Although still a student, designer Grzegorz Marcisz righteously proved he deserves the given stage. With the collection savage, inspired by graffiti art he shows great potencial and authentic design aesthetic. His collections are noticed for extreme shapes, enlarged prints and thick fabrics. Both boys and girls show street roughness. While drawing inspiration from sport and street classics the collection displays a desire to escape the usual copycats.

KLAUDIA MARKIEWICZ
Łodz based designer Klaudia Mariewicz brought the world to the catwalk of the FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland. Inspired by the globalization she clashed various local traditions throughout the collection. Traditional African aesthetics are mixed with influence of the European and American culture, creating a new nomadic tribe for the contemporary globe trotter. Colors are inspired by Maasai and Dogon tribal costumes. Images of africal ethinical tribes are applied to the coats and jackets almost like pamflets. Furthermore the collection is enriched with handcrafted pieces, oversized knittings and crochet, but also with materials such as Polish wool paying a tribute to local heritage. Brave proposal that stands put from the obvious Polish fashion design aesthetics.

"You only look good with your family on a photography" says old Polish proverb but as a KHATEGAT we’re breaking that rule. Our fashion brand is based on a family cooperation. Our trio makes unique projects addressed to customers looking for extraordinary designs.”
